Interventional Cardiology Opportunity in Waco, TX

An established private Cardiology practice in Waco, Texas is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join a team of four Interventional Cardiologists and three APPs. This high-acuity opportunity offers a broad procedural scope, strong hospital relationships, and a balanced schedule across clinic, hospital, and cath lab time.

 

Practice Overview

• You’ll join 4 Interventional Cardiologists supported by 3 APPs (PAs/NPs).
• Comprehensive Interventional Cardiology: coronary interventions, structural heart interventions, peripheral vascular interventions, hemodynamic support, and emergency interventions.
• Clinic has 10 exam rooms with in-house echocardiography, peripheral PET, and a 16-slice PET CT.
• Credentialed with 2 regional hospitals with primary coverage at a cath lab located 0.6 miles from the clinic.

Schedule

• Weekly template: 2 clinic days, 1 hospital day, 1 full cath lab day, plus flexible days for regional satellite clinics to build your panel.
• Outpatient volume target once ramped: 15–20 patients/day in 15-minute slots.
• Call: 6–7 county call days per month shared among physicians.
• Group call coverage 5:00 PM–10:00 PM; external triage service covers overnight calls.

Compensation & Benefits

• 700,000 annual base guarantee on a 3-year contract.
• 100,000 sign-on bonus.
• Option to negotiate a base salary reset at 6 months based on production.
• Employer benefits include HMO/PPO options, life insurance, retirement, and schedule flexibility; ASC cath lab ownership investment option after 1 year.

Candidate Requirements

• MD/DO with ACGME-accredited fellowships in General Cardiologyand Interventional Cardiology.
• Active or eligible Texas medical license, valid DEA, and Board Certified/Eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
• Comfortable managing a full interventional scope including coronary, peripheral, and structural heart interventions, plus emergency/hemodynamic support.
• Willing to support a mix of clinic, hospital coverage, cath lab time, and regional satellite clinic growth.
• Team-oriented approach to shared county call coverage.
